Dear Friends

Welcome to 2017, “the year of having so that we may not lose what we have”. God has been gracious to allow us to see another year. We praise God for the powerful Ten Days of Prayer and Fasting experienced in all the FIFMI churches worldwide. People had time to cleanse themselves and seek God. Many were healed, delievered, saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. We are excited about the great things that will happen in this year.

The following are reports of how the year started in some places and the things God is doing:

Zambia
Dr. Eunor Guti was in Lusaka, Zambia for the Ten Days of Prayer and Fasting with all the female pastors from all over Zambia. She taught us the word of God which was followed by signs and wonders deliverance, healing, confession and forgiveness took place. Everyone was filled with love and joy. This prayer camp changed lives. On the Big Sunday female pastor’s were confessing and asking for forgiveness in the presence of the entire Church. This was a service like no other. So much love and forgiveness just flowed throughout the service with pastors hugging their husbands, family members and church members from whom they had asked for forgiveness. Dr. Eunor taught the word of God according to the theme of 2017 and 48 people gave their lives to Christ. We give God the glory!!.

Barbados
A blessed New Year from FIFMI Barbados.  What a mighty God we serve! Indeed God is being so faithful and gracious to us. The church is growing strong, following sound teachings on Salvation, Prayer, The Kingdom of God, Holy Spirit Baptism and Water Baptism. Cross Over night Prayer meeting was attended by 23 local adults and 6 children. There was steady and consistent  attendance during Ten Days Prayer Meetings.  During services, the power of God was evident, with people being delivered and touched by the Spirit of God.
This week, 7 people received Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which was evidenced by speaking in other tongues. During home visitations, a woman was healed from heart problem and received Christ.
On Sunday, 10 people were water baptized after church service and 2 people received Christ.  Deliverance and healing took place. Love and joy among the saints continues during all meetings, as evidenced by people not wanting to go home after services! Glory be to our God!
Attendance for the week was as follows: Monday Prayer 8 adults, Tuesday prayer 11 adults, Wednesday Bible Study 8 adults, Friday night prayer 5 adults and Sunday Morning Service 29 adults and 5 children.
God answered our prayers, we now have a 10-seater church bus.  We thank you all for your prayers, as we continue trusting God  for the church registration.

St Kitts & Nevis

The team comprising of Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai, Pastors Gilbert & Tracy Maseko arrived on Saturday. This was following the departure of Pastors Fanuel & Debra Phiri, David & Aletta Mabvuramiti, Philip and Judith Mutsambiwa. In Nevis we had 10 local adults and 4 children. While in St Kitts we had 5 local adults and 4 children. There was a lot of joy in both services and people gave the following testimonies:

  • A lady testified that she didn’t intend to join her husband in FIFMI but God spoke to her and she’s glad she obeyed the voice of God and came to FIFMI
  • Another lady never thought she would be in FIFMI but after getting involved with the church from a business point of view but she then found herself in the church. She’s excited after finding out how big this church is worldwide from the website. All she can say is God is good.
  • A man testified of how he is grateful for FIFMI Miami which he attended while visiting his wife. He’s very happy with what God is doing and he’s looking forward to a great outreach in St. Kitts.
  • A man also testified of how his marriage was restored and has become better after he came to FIFMI

In both places Pastor Gilbert taught bible study on the topic of prayer and Dr. Steve preached on the theme of the year. Both the Bible Study and preaching where received gladly. We are looking forward to a great week as we believe God to give us a good house in St. Kitts and that we are able to continue winning souls.

Dominican Republic
What a wonderful 10 days Dominican Republic had!  We thank the God of Ezekiel for such a profound grounding in prayer and fasting. During this time 4 people received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and one was baptised in water.  The student pastors are also returning to bible school.  Another bible study group was also started in the Alcarizo Mutata Assembly.   A marriage was restored as well. Glory to God.  Many fruits were produced from this time of seeking the face of God.

TEACHING:    PART OF BABA & AMAI’S MESSAGE

Luke 8:18 -“So be careful how you listen; for whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a longing for truth], even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”” Amplified version.

Be careful how you listen.  You can misinterpret what God is saying. You need to listen, understand and be willing to do what you are hearing – that’s a teachable spirit. A teachable spirit is being willing to do what you are being taught through the word of God. When you are corrected, have a teachable spirit even if you don’t see what is wrong. Whoever has a teachable heart more understanding will be given. It starts off with how you listen, then whoever has a teachable heart and whoever doesn’t have a longing for the truth even what he thinks he has will be taken way. The way I hear will cause me to have a teachable heart and I will get more understanding and a hunger for the truth.  My prayer is that I will be able to listen, have a teachable heart and more understanding will be given to me.  God bless you.

We love you and are praying for you,
Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai
