Apostles Update Week 35

Dear Friends,
The Double Impact series continues with Overseer Bevan Mutata (USA) on “Prayer and the Miraculous” and Overseer Lisa Jabangwe (South Africa ) on “The Unconditional Love of God”. Overseer Bevan started by introducing that prayer is talking with God and the miraculous is the tremendous outpouring of the supernatural in which God defies all the laws that govern nature. God only allows us to operate at the level of our prayer life not above or beneath. The Word of God must become the central language in our prayer closet and the power of God will be released. In Jesus’ name he ministered this power to those in need and in Nevis a lady who had been experiencing severe arthritic pain and could hardly move her limbs and as she listened to the speaker pray against the enemy, “she shouted God is good and I am healed in Jesus name.” Overseer Lisa followed and defined the unconditional Agape love as love given without expectations of receiving anything in return first demonstrated to us by God as He gave us His only son Jesus. We are to practice this same love, especially during these times of lockdown by checking in on each other be it through a phone call or text message. Love is our brand as Christians this is how the world recognizes us.
We want to thank God for another blessed week as we continue with our morning devotion which is strengthening the saints to keep on holding onto God and trusting God for His faithfulness upon their families. As we continue our midweek services we are seeing the grace of God on our online services as many are joining in for the service. We give glory to God. We had a blessed Sunday full of the presence of God with powerful praise and worship and the Word. 38 people and 3 visitors attended the service. We also had time to listen to the Word of God from our speakers for international Sunday. Thank you for your prayers as you continue to pray for our nation.
We give glory to the God of our father Apostle Ezekiel Guti for His protection on the saints. We received testimonies how God has been providing for the saints though some having challenges to get jobs. We thank God for the believers who are growing in prayer. We give glory to God for the international Sunday and the word that is changing the people. We ask you to continue to pray for us that the believers may not be shaken but may grow in the Lord.
St Kitts - We give glory to the God of our father Apostle Ezekiel Guti for His faithfulness. Our leaders participated in several leadership meetings and teachings this week, as we were preparing to welcome Pastors Ahmed and Nakia. Our Sunday service was one of celebration and thanksgiving as we thank God for the work that He is doing in St Kitts. We had attendance of 41 persons with 4 visitors. Our Children's Church and Youths gave powerful presentations. We prayed for our children as they prepare to return to school after 5 months of lockdown. They also got some little tokens for back to school. We had a powerful teaching from our Pastor Ahmed on the purpose of the coming of Christ.
Nevis - We celebrated and welcomed back home Pastors Karim and Nakia Ahmed and their family who had been away in Zimbabwe for the last three years training and have now returned to do the work. We are so thankful for all of the Pastors who have served with us over the past four years and especially Pastors Mollyn and Michael Vharetta who have led us through one of the most challenging times. On Thursday we had a wonderful service on Business with a very powerful Speaker, Elder Irene Mutisi, from the United Kingdom. Sunday, Pastor Ahmed spoke powerfully on the power of Jesus Christ as our Saviour. We thank God for our numbers that continue to increase as we meet physically. This Sunday service we were 52. We pray for our children returning to school and for God's provision for our own Church Building.
The Child Evangelism ministry had a wonderful and powerful Online National Conference from 27-29 August hosted by National Director Pastor Challdina Ndjavera. On the first day 71 families logged on zoom and others on Facebook. Our Speakers were International CE director Pastor Dope, International Director for KMD Pastor Simon Madhoyo featuring Bobby, Namibia National Administrator Overseer. P. Mutumbwa and Pastor. C. Mapunga. All the speakers brought insight and wisdom to children as they taught on Salvation, Prayer, Abuse, Effects of Music and Technology, Dreams, Word of God, Obedience and many more. Children had a wonderful time hearing the word of God and many activities. Most children participated as MCs, forerunners, and gave testimonies. They were given time for a quiz about the history of the church, as well as question and answers session. It was indeed a life changing Conference as children testified at the end of the Conference. Some testified giving up worldly music and of a renewed desire to follow God’s ways. Indeed, the children’s lives are transformed. We thank the God of our father Dr Ezekiel H. Guti.
The Single Women in RSA held their conference on Zoom successfully. We had powerful speakers like Bishop Prisca Soko, Reverend C Mhlandhla, Pastor Anne Chavunduka and Pastor Dorothy Mhlongo. It was a real life changing conference and we thank our Father and Mother Apostles Ezekiel and Eunor Guti for praying for us, we don't take it lightly. We alone we would not come this far. We also thank those who stood with us on Zoom in interceding for the success of our conference.
We celebrate the God of our father E.H Guti for His faithfulness in our nation. The National Administrator Rev Juliet Musonda was in Shimabala this Sunday, it was such a joy to see the assembly was that started a year ago with 15 people operating at a nearby school to have grown to over 90 people with 16 cell-groups currently in operation. 20 people gave their lives to Jesus on this day.
Greater Lusaka Girls had a virtual conference over the weekend attended by over 150 girls from provinces and Districts within Lusaka and also from UK & Zimbabwe. The Administrator encouraged the girls to continue serving God and be helpful in their respective churches to help the Apostle and servant of God in this great vision.
Men of integrity in Kafue Province met for a braai fellowship at Kafue Estates District Church. It was a blessing to see four men who had been invited giving their lives to Jesus.
A woman who was very sick to the point of losing her mind and had been admitted in hospital testified that she dreamt someone praying for her who was putting on white clothes following this, she was discharged the next day. She acknowledged that the angel of this church had visited her in hospital. People are testifying:
  • that they had never seen such a church where Pastors visit them in their homes
  • of their deliverance from alcohol and drug abuse.
  • charms and other stuff were brought to burnt after a lot of people gave their lives to Christ.

Luke 2:36-37,” 36 Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; 37 and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. 38 And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
Who told her? She was told when she was busy serving God with prayer and fastings, on her knees or in her spirit praying so much that when Jesus appeared she did not need any introduction from anybody because she knew about it. When you become a person who serves God with prayers and fastings, a woman of Tuesday prayer, you will get to know the secrets of God that other people don’t know. You will see the things that other people don’t see, to hear the things that other people don’t hear, but remember the secret is in living right with God............TO BE CONTINUED. God bless you.
We love you and are praying for you,
Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai
