Dear Friends

Jamaica for Jesus! Great things are happening here. We are thankful to God that this whole week our attendance ranged between 35-50 members. Baba and Amai took quality time to teach the church as they laid the apostolic foundation. The love in the church is so strong that people stay in the church 2 hours after service is over just for fellowship. We witnessed the healing of backaches, knee problems and throat pain among other things. We thank God for providing money for Baba and Amai to buy a car for FIFMI Jamaica. Praise the Lord.
Some highlights:
  •  A woman who had trouble getting a birth certificate for 20 years was prayed for and got it the next day. Her husband was surprised because they had struggled for many years.
  • A couple who went to bid farewell at the church where they were leaders, were surprised to be told by many members of that church that their countenance had changed.
  • A man who is a leader in the police force testified to feeling so different after coming to FIFMI and many things have already changed in his life
  • Many people testified that they miss being in church when they are at work, a feeling they never used to have.
  • Others said the way the word is taught in FIFMI is so simple that it touches the heart
  • A taxi driver who has been coming to church every evening testified that he was so moved by FIFMI that even though you make the most money during peak hours, he has decided to leave the prime time for church.
  • Many people said the way things are done in FIFMI administration has opened our eyes to see that this is a different church.

Sunday was our first day to receive tithes and offerings. The new committee was commissioned. Everything was done with excitement. At the end of the service, many people went forward to be blessed as FIFMI members. They were so happy and felt free. Oh, God is doing His own work that He predestinated before the foundation of the world. Indeed God moves with His servant! Glory to God.

News from around the globe:

Cayman Islands
Our two midweek bible studies continue to grow and we are working on opening a third one in the city shortly. There is a lot excitement about the bible study meetings. 9 locals attended the Friday prayer and praise and worship practice. A few of our believers have traveled off the Island for the next few weeks, but still we had a good Sunday service with 20 adults and 7. We had touching testimonies from the believers on how the Church is impacting their lives. One gentleman who had stopped going to church because of frustration said in FIFMI he has found a reason to live and worship God again. God has moved a musician to provide his microphones and instruments to the church. This surely is the doing of the Lord. There was a ladies meeting followed by the girls’ meeting after service. Most of the believers have embraced the Church as their spiritual home and are eager to serve in any capacity  We really thank the God of our father for this grace.

Boston
We thank God for a wonderful Big Sunday weekend in Boston with Overseer Lisa Jabangwe from South Africa. We started off with Leadership training on Saturday morning, then separate women’s, men’s and youth meetings in the afternoon. This was followed by a ‘bring and share’ fellowship and a powerful evening service. Our Region has been revived this weekend. The women’s meeting had 39 women in attendance and men’s meeting had 15 men.
Sunday had 94 people in attendance of which 38 were from Boston. Overseer Lisa was mightily used by God. We had 4 visitors, one rededicated herself to the Lord and 2 committed themselves to Forward In Faith Church. The Boston church is growing very well and the believers are hungry for the things of God. Praise the Lord, we finally found a place of worship to lease. We will start using the place on the 1st of November. At the moment we are believing God for about a 100 chairs and a pulpit to use at our new venue.

Cyprus
The God of our father is faithful. There is evident growth in some of our regular members. The young men and women are hungry for God and the new people also already participating in different departments. In Lefkosa attendance was 125 including 3 children and in Magusa over 40 people attended. 1 person also received Jesus Christ. We request prayers for suitable venues for our 2 assemblies.

Belize

We had a great weekend. Pastor Margaret traveled to our new assembly to set up structures for the service. On Saturday night 19 people attended church and 26 in the main service on Sunday. God was really at work with His people.
In Belize City we had a great time where the Spirit moved mightily and people were filled with the Holy Spirit and others were laughing in the spirit, it was really awesome. Surely a revival has visited our nation. So many great things took place. 38 people attended service. We are glad to receive the first Zimbabwean in our church, Garikai and his wife Monique, a Belizean will play a role in the praise and worship. Praise God

New Zealand
Wellington Crusade 9-11 October, 2015.
We want to thank God for the just ended crusade. Our prayer was for God to bring us people that can remain.  Friday we had 13 visitors, 2 of whom committed their lives to Jesus. On Saturday after street witnessing, a sausage sizzle and an outreach aimed at young mothers, the church received 31 people; 7 of whom had attended our services in the past and of these 3 committed their lives to Jesus. Sunday was a very powerful Holy Spirit service, 13 visitors attended and 2 gave their lives to Jesus.  Others in the service were filled with the Holy Spirit and some were re-filled. The service ended with many being touched and laughing in the Spirit, full of the joy of the Lord. In all, the crusade saw 40 visitors. We will appreciate prayers to establish bible studies and to work a project to raise money for a bus as many people do not drive or have cars.
Rumblings in the North (Auckland) A home group that is 100% Samoan Islanders led by the Musaties is bursting at the seams. They can no longer fit in the house they were meeting. The God of our father has miraculously provided a place for them to meet and it is free of charge. One of the members is a sister to Student Pastor Daniel Collins from Samoa who together with his wife are currently 3rd year students at AMFCC Harare. The group averages 15-20 members including children

          TEACHING:    PART OF BABA’S MESSAGE

Gen 1:26-28; 2:4-7; John 4:24
According to our likeness, question is how does God look? What’s the image of God? God is a Spirit. There is no way for God to demonstrate Himself unless He has a body from the earth. He needed an earthly body so He could walk and dominate. The spirit part of man is what was created in verse 26 because Gen 2:7 says man became a living being.
The Bible says you are little gods on earth that’s why you are able to do what you do here. There was no way for God to dominate the earth if He was only spirit man. We are here for a purpose, God put us in this body. Time will come when we go back to God who created us and the body goes back to the earth.
God put us in the body so we can dominate. If you don’t dominate the earth, the earth will dominate you. God bless you.

We love you and are praying for you,
Drs Steve & La-Verne Simukai
